Thousands sign petition to save our tip!

 

The Liberal Democrats have been busy over the last few months working with other parties in the fight to retain the Swanage Household Re-cycling Centre in the town.

It has been a cross-party effort with Peter Clark leading the battle on behalf of the Lib. Dems. Peter is seen here on the steps of County Hall where there was quite a contingent from Swanage to meet County Councillors as they arrived for a cabinet meeting in December

The first battle has been won but the pressure has to be maintained until work on the new site begins.

Ros Kayes, the Lib dem Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for South Dorset has been very busy since her adoption in August 2008. Ros is seen here at a coffee morning, BBQ and to the fore assisting Peter Clark in the Save the Tip campaign.


Saving on Fuel Costs
Before Christmas a lively coffee morning was held at which a representative from Purbeck District Council came to talk about all the ways that the council could give advise and help to alleviate concerns about high fuel bills through the cold winter.
